Stoneware Match Strike Pot: Grey

Crafted in Evanston, IL, this vintage inspired match strike is hand-thrown on the potter’s wheel by Julia Finlayson. Julia uses a dark clay that is then glazed matte white to create the grey finish, and the same clay body to create the matte black glazed version. The handcrafted nature of these products may result in slight variations in dimensions and glazes.  Use with Strike Anywhere Matches, not included, available at your local hardware store.

ABOUT GRANDMONT STREET Julia Finlayson is a ceramicist who started collecting vintage match strikes about ten years ago. She loved the history, the ritual, and the aesthetic of match strikes, and began experimenting with her own shapes, sizes, and color glazes. A new generation of match strikes was born!
